[66] She was in Santa Ana, and her son C. Lynn was in Riverside. Dad senta telegram to his son, MAMA DIED 12:50PM, it was dated July 26, 1947.

Jennie was the oldest of 9 girls. Six were still living and Iremember meeting six of them at one time. The other three seemed tohave died long before I was born. They all seemed to stay aroundSouthern California and they did have seemingly frequent family gettogethers. Uncle Robert was also a benefactor to them as I understoodit back then.

Lucile describes the family house in Homer Illinois as being very avery large, lovely house with 15 foot ceilings, red brick, and thevisible timbers in the barn were black walnut. There were nobathrooms as it must have been built in mid 1800.
