Hattie was a cripple but raised a good sized family. WilliamBurtonette, Hattie's son when he grew up lived in Witchita and had adrug store for years.
In the 1880 Census Harriet was shown as part of the Uriah Coy familyworking as a teacher.
Harriet Coy was born at Ithica, New York and died at Piqua, Kansas andwas buried there in the County Line Cemetery. She married GeorgeWashington Burtonette who was born at Allegheny, Pennsylvania onNovember 15, 1858 and died at Piqua on April 23, 1939.
She kept a diary, on March 20, 1875 she said, "Got a letter fro UncleSamuel stating that Retta was dead"
