The "Hine" is because she is the widow of a FRANK HINE, that is allthat is known. She then married William Padgett and ended up asLucile's grandmother.
She was also Helen's 5th grade teacher, by coincidence.
We have in file a letter from her date 5 Nov 1905 that was writtenfrom Colorado where she was taking a vacation and the letter wasaddressed to John & Helen.
She speaks of her accommodations of three rooms, furnished and facingthe mountains. They rent for $40.00 per month during thesummer...she was paying $8.00 per month. A great description of thegound and area...very interesting.
[55] Mrs. Hine was first the husband of John M. Padgett and then her secondmarriage was to Frank Hine. We think.
