He was indentured on December 21, 1801....that is four days beforeChristmas. What must they have been thinking back then... a 9 yearold boy. His father had already been married twice and Josiah wasthe last of the second brood. There was a hiatus of several yearsbefore he started on the third group of offspring...

He enlisted in the 134th Regiment from NY for the War of 1812.acording to their data base.
