This Indenture made this twenty Seventh day of June in the year of our lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and nine between John Goff of Randolph County in the Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and Jacob Koeler of Allegheny County in the Commonwealth of Maryland of the other part Witnesseth that the Said John Goff for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars lawful money of Virginia the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have Granted bargained sold Aliened enfeoffed released and Confirmed and by these presents do Grant bargain sell Alien enfeoff release and confirm to the said Jacob Koeler his heirs and assignees forever all that part of a tract or parcel of land being part of a tract willed by Salathiell Goff to his sons John and George Goff lying and being in Randolph County Commonwealth of Virginia and on the waters of Mill Run so called Beginning at a white oak and a Chestnut Oak the third Corner of the whole survey Running north forty poles to pointers north forty degrees west one hundred and ten poles to a Burch and Oak South fifty degrees west one hundred and seventy six poles to a Stone South forty degrees East one hundred and twelve poles to a pile of Stones north Sixty degrees East One hundred and fifty seven poles to the Beginning containing One hundred and forty Acres of land more or less together with all and singular improvements thereunto belonging on or any way appertaining To have and to hold the above described land and premises with the appurtenances to the said Jacob Koeler his heirs and assignees to the only propre use and behoof of the said Jacob Koeler his heirs and assignees forever and said John Goff for himself his heirs and assignees doth hereby Convent to and with the said Jacob Koeler his heirs and assignees that he the said John Goff doth hereby Convent promise and ____ the above described premises with the appurtenances to the said Jacob Koeler his heirs and assignees Shall and will warrant and forever Defend against all persons and claims whatsoever In testimony whereof the aforesaid John Goff hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
