S.G. Stokes served as Pvt, Co E, 4th Bn, Hilliard's Legion; since the
59th and 60th rgts were not formed until late 1863, he could not have been there; although the 23d Bn
existed before that time, I know of no one from the Legion who served w/ it until after Nov 1863.
