PVT. JAMES P. PHILLIPS
CO. B - 15th Alabama Infantry

James was a 22 year old farmer at Springhill and
married when he enlisted in March 1862 at Midway. James was wounded twice during his service, and was
captured at the Battle of The Wilderness, VA in May 1864 . He
was a POW until his parole a year later at war's end. He was a farmer in
Barbour County until his death c. 1905....
