Mc Elvin, Thomas
Born 1791, Sumter Dist., SC
Died 6 Dec. 1863, Barbour Co.
Served in War of 1812.

Hickey, Mrs. Mathilda,
10 May 1840 - 1884

According to Pete Lunsford, there were 10 to 15 graves at the time he was a young boy. The cemetery is 3/4 of an acre according to deed in Book B page 305, Dec. 18, 1885, Eufaula, AL courthouse. Cemetery is located in Section 35-10-28, SW portion of N1/2 of SW1/4. John T. McElvin and wife Mary sold a total of 202 ac. to W.P. Copeland. The cemetery is behind the Lunsford home place and is very over grown and markers are broken. I believe this site is # 92 on the cemetery map of Barbour Co. listed as unknown.
