Deo Vindice, Homer If you have any information please let Margie, Richard or Juanita know. Please contact Juanita if you have any family info for her. MARGIE Hi Mrs. Daniels, I have only been to Mt. Andrew twice and I couldn't tell you how to get there. I have notes and directions somewhere. If I can find my notes I will send you the info. I do know there are Bludsworth's buried there..several of them. The only Bludsworth grave that was marked was this one: Thomas Jefferson Bludworth,b-8-7-1834.d-l-24-1857, age 22years,5 months, and 20 days, erected by T.W. Bludworth. This is a most unusual cemetery. If you haven't been there, then you should go at least once. I have been to a lot of cemeteries in my researching but I can say I have never seen graves quite like these. The graves on one end of the cemetery are all stones and some have a cement slab and some don't. I would give anything to know who all those graves belong to. I have tried to find out if there are any burial records and have had no luck. There are quite a few graves in this cemetery that have markers with names. I have attached a photo taken last Summer of some of the unmarked graves. Maybe someone out there will have some information on who is buried in these unmarked graves. Thank you, Juanita |
