Glover-Daniels
Daniel Gilchrist was born c 1813 and died in 1902. He married Elizabeth
Williams who was born September 16, 1831 and died August 14, 1904. Both are
buried in Palmyra Cemetery in Barbour County, Alabama. Daniel Gilchrist was
the son of Gilbert Scotland Gilchrist (1780-1857) and Mary Currie (1800-1879).
Gilbert Scotland Gilchrist was the son of John Gilchrist (1740-1802) and Effie
McMillan. John Gilchrist came to Cumberland County, North Carolina from the
Kintyre Peninsula of Scotland in 1770. He also married Effie McMillan in that
year.
