on the 24th, Mr. J.P. Cawley and Miss J.M. McGee.
(Note the date before this one was 24 June 1883)
Page 113:
Mrs. John Tucker and her eighteen months babe were instantly killed by
lightning at Salem, Ala. recently.
(Note this seems to fit into my family and could be the wife of John E.
Tucker, see below, this would also makes sense as to why the mother in law
may have been living with him (assumption on my part). Date before this
one
was 14 July 1884 and after was July 29, 1884).
Page 164:
Mr. James Tucker, aged 87 years, died at White Oak (Barbour County) on
Saturday. He had been a resident of this county for Fifty years.
(Note; this is my forefather as our family records show he he was born May
06, 1800 and died Dec 17, 1887. The one before this is dated 21 Dec.
1887
and the one after is dated 22 Dec. 1887).

Mrs. Isabella McNab, age 80, of Eufaula, died yesterday at the home of her
son-in-law, Mr. J.E. Tucker. She was the mother of Capt. John C. McNab.
She
was born in N.C. in 1808 but has been a resident of this place since 1848.
(9
Aug 1888).
(Note; It would make sense that the Mother-in-Law moved into the house of
John E. Tucker to raise any children he had remaining since his wife was
killed by lightning in 1884, and the fact that this obit does not mention
her
daughter being a survivor, only her son Capt John McNab. John McNab owned
a
bank in Barbour Co., Ala.).
