TUCKER CEMETERY
Located near White Oak Station, Ala., in Barbour County, Alabama. Off Hwy.30  between Clayton & Eufaula, Ala.

TUCKER,  SARAH JANE
21   DEC.   1822
17   NOV.   1855

TUCKER, ELIZA
12 SEPT.
25 DEC.  1890
HUSBAND:  JAMES

TUCKER, CANDIS
DIED 1839
PARENTS:  ELIZA & JAMES

This is a private family cemetery with only four graves.  One large Marble
Marker has been taken down and is missing.   This is beside the grave of
Eliza Tucker and it is my opinion that it is the grave of Eliza's husband,
James.  The footing that held the marker still remains.

Signed:  Vickie Lunsford (Mrs. Carlos F. Lunsford), Route #1, Eufaula, Ala.
Nov 22, 1965.

Anyone researching this family lineage, please contact Carol Crowell Hurley,

Reuben Tucker mentioned above moved to Arkansas than to Lincoln Parish
Louisiana and had several children, and died in Limestone County Texas.

Searching for the location of the Tucker Cemetery?

Well, the gravesite is said to be located, according to O'Neal Griffin
(3-29-00)on the O'Neal Griffin Rd. Although we couldn't actually find any
headstones. O'Neal said he has not been there in years, although, at that
time there was a Tucker cemetery located behind the Old house in the
pasture. Going in from Hwy. 30 on Co. Rd. 79 turn right on O'Neal Griffin
Rd. the rd. will curve to the left after the Al. Power substation, the old
house is in the bend on the left. The chimney stands tall, but the house is
collapsing, and there are barns around it). We have searched the whole
pasture, maybe someone else will have better luck than we did. The stones
could have fallen down and are hard to see, the brush is very thick in
certain areas.
This was a big disappointment, and I am sorry we could not help, although we
will continue to search the area that he stated it was in, but at least the
names and dates were not lost.
He said there were 3 stones still standing when he went out there, but was
unable to go with us because of his health.
