There are three marked but unnamed graves in the northeastern corner of the
cemetery.
This is an indication that they were close and trusted slaves.
The story that is told is that all three died of Scarlet Fever at about the same
time.

See note below |
|
|
Note: Vera Paul may have been a typo in the original
transcription and might should be Vera Paulk. |
|
|
This
reasoning comes from the fact that Charlie Oscar Richardson had a son
named William Dean Richardson |
|
|
who married Mary Elizabeth Paulk, born in 1914, she was the
daughter of Charlie Paulk and |
|
|
Vera Tillman Paulk. So, the Vera Paul (Paulk?) may be a
relative of Mary Elizabeth Paulk Richardson. |
|
|
This is strickly speculation on my part. |

"Jane" Gilmore and Falby Cobb Brooks Gilmore Richardson) |
My
research shows all the children of Jesse R. Dean and Rebecca Smith Dean
are buried |
|
in
this cemetery, but Jabez "Joe" Dean and David E. Dean do not
appear in the original transcription. |
I
have not personally been to this cemetery, so I cannot verify whether
their graves are there or not. |
