Old Zion Cemetery African Methodist Episcopal
Zion (AMEZ)) CHURCH. The cemetery sign says that the cemetery was
established in 1823. The cemetery sign also says for more information contact
(334) 774-8095. In addition to the names provided by Ms. Linda P. Scroggs
(WomenFly2@aol.com) on 24 April 1999, there are also about 100 + graves without
headstones. Most of them have a small piece of gray marble about 6 inches x 6
inches square with no writing at the head of the grave. A few have concrete
grave covers without writing. This cemetery is located on Campground Road, near
the intersection of Mixon School Road in Ozark, Alabama.
