Found your Vinson's on rootsweb and hope you have the key
to
solving a puzzle in my Bryant/Nichols line. John Bryant died in 1838
leaving a wife Hannah Nichols Bryant and child Sarahanne Althea Bryant,
but there was a third heir to the estate, John F. Vinson. The court
records show that on 17 Nov. 1846 Henry Vinson was appointed Guardian
of his son John F. Vinson a minor and heir to estate of John Bryan,
dec. Henry Vinson as Guardian requested commissioners to be appointed
to distribute the estate of John Bryan, dec.... Do you have any idea
why John F. was included in the estate and why Henry had to ask to be
made guardian?
Hannah Nichols Bryant had a brother Vinson Nichols. Do you know if
these families are related to the Vinsons?
