Ezra Price

I am in search of information about my mother's father, Ezra Price, who lived in Clio, Alabama.  He died when my mother was young and I do not have any information on his family.

 

However, I do have a lot of information on my father's family tracing them back to England before 1591. I am sending you the information that relates to Barbour County:

 

Robert Tillman born circa 1806 Washington County, Georgia and died 1860 Barbour County, Alabama.  Children of first marriage:  Jonathan Born 1826, Stephen born 1827, Alfred born 1829 and Lindsey born 1837.  2nd marriage to Nancy Casey.  He purchased the "Hobdy" plantation from Senator James Pugh and settled in Barbour County.

 

(The above Senator Pugh is James Lawrence Pugh is the son of Anne Silvia Tillman daughter of Littlebury Tillman who is the father of the above mentioned Robert Tillman.  This James Pugh served as a member of the 1st and 2nd Confederate Congresses and then from 1880 until 1897 in the United States Senate.  He is grandfather of Judge James Pugh elected Associate Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Maryland in 1958).

 

Stephen Tillman born in 1837 Pike County, Alabama and died 1870.  Married circa 1852 Harriet Caroline Westbrook.  Children:  John White born 1853, Robert Manuel born October 10, 1855, Stephen Coleman born 1857, Mary Ann born December 1858 and Harriet Callie born 1867.

 

Robert Manuel Tillman  (died 12/3/29) married 1st to Mary Elizabeth Jackson born August 1862 and died 1898. Children John Stephen born 1881, Vera born 1883, Jesse born 1884, James Robert born January 31, 1888, Amariah Stubbs born 1890, Twins Lallie and Lallah Anne born 1892 and Arnold Roy 1895.  2nd marriage (6/22/1899) to Martha Ezell born 1855

 

James Robert Tillman (died 11/24/46) married December 27, 1917 to Vela Long born April 18, 1899.  Children: Edna Earle born 1919, James Maurice born 1922 and Donald Travis born September 25, 1925.

 

Donald Travis Tillman (died 2/17/98) married Sara Price born July 27, 1927.  Children:  Gaye born June 17, 1946, Susan born November 1, 1948, Janice born December 28, 1952, Donald Terry born August 14, 1959, Richard Allen born June 14, 1961.

 

Gaye lives in Troy but her son, Scott Shipes, lives in Barbour County.  She has another son Paul Shipes.  Susan is married to Joe Puccio and they live in Eufaula.  Her son, Phil, also lives in Eufaula.  She also has a daughter, Katie.  Donald Terry Tillman is married to Lecie (Green) and lives near Clio with children Angela and Michael.  Allen and his wife, Sloane, and their two children, Travis and Taylor live in Knoxville.  I, Janice, live in Gulf Breeze, Florida with my husband, Austin Snellgrove from Ozark, and our two children, Jenny Leigh and Austin III.

 

If you come across information on Ezra Price who was married to Henrietta Barbaree and lived in Clio, please let me know.
