(NEE?) MCDOWELL. She was born Abt. 1816 in Tennessee.
Notes for JAMES P. MCDOWELL:
On August 23, 1850, James P. McDowell and his family consisting of the first
four children shown here, lived in Greene County, Tennessee when the US Census
was taken.
By June 2, 1870, James had relocated to Rome, Floyd County, Georgia and the
family had added four more children.

MCKAY 08 Dec 1870 in Barbour County, AL2,3, daughter of ARCHIBALD MCKAY and
CATHERINE MCKAY. She was born Abt. 1847 in North Carolina.

Charles S. McDowell, Sr. 65, wife Margaret 63, and two children; Ardie M. 27 and
Janet 22 lived in Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama on April 28, 1910 when the
census was taken. The couple had been married thirty nine years and Margaret had
given birth to eight children, six of whom were living. Charles was born in
Tennessee and his parents were born in Virginia and Maryland.
Margaret's parents were born in North Carolina as was she.
