Mrs. Viola L. Britt, 84 of Lakeland, Fla., and formely of Geneva, died
Sunday afternoon, Feb. 9, 1997, in Lakeland after a short illness.The
funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in
Geneva with the Rev. Roland L. Beck and Todd Dope officiating. Burial will
be in Eunola Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The
family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9 - 10


Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Peggy Dixon, Lakeland, Fla., Mrs. Sylvia Holland, Hartford, Mrs. Elizabeth Beck, Tampa, Fla.; one son, Joseph E. Britt, Madison, Ala., two sisters, Mrs. Mavis Childs and Mrs. Sally Hatcher both of Geneva; 15 grandchildren, 23 great - grandchildren.

Mrs. Blondell Benefield, 77, of 405 S. 9th Ave., Hartford died Sunday, Nov.

21, 1999 in a Dothan Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Highfalls Assembly of

God Church with the Rev. Nicky Senn and the Rev. John Chance officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral

Home of Hartford directing.

The body will lie in state one hour at the church prior to funeral time.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 tonight. Flowers will be accepted or donations made

to the Highfalls Assembly of God Church Building Fund.

The family will be at the home of a sister and brother - in - law, Jean and

Earnest D. (Doug) Simmons, 905 W. Pine Ave., Geneva.

Survivors include her husband, Cullen Benefield, Hartford; four sisters,

Juanita Palmer, Geneva; Jeanette Morris, Chipley, Fl.

Jean Simmons, Geneva; and Ester Ridolfi, Bonifay, Fl.; one brother, Lehmon Hatcher, Hartford; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Quinton Brown of Geneva died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003 at Wiregrass

Hospital following an extended illness. He was 68.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday Feb. 21, at Pittman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. Burial will follow at Geneva City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.The family will accept flowers or memorial contributations may be made to maple Ave. Baptist Church building fund, 1009 West Maple Ave., Geneva, Alabama 36340
