GREENE COUNTY , ARKANSASand CROSSOVER COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS 1833 to 2009 A county is created with formal words , but it is the people of a county who , through their struggles and their joys , breathe life into the creation. Clay County, in 1873, and Craighead County, in 1859, Poinsett County, in 1838 were formed partly from sections of Greene County. The county seat of Greene County is Paragould.Crossover Counties in Northeast Arkansas The County Formation listed above for Greene County is some information that I have been researching what I call crossover counties located around or formed from Greene County or Greene County was formed from part of the other surrounding counties .
