Woodrow Shrable, 92, of Paragould, passed away January 2, 2006,
at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Born March 23, 1913, in
Vidette, Arkansas, he was a retired farmer and a member of
Southside Church of God.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Leo Shrable of Linden, Michigan, David Leroy Shrable of Paragould, Earl Franklin Shrable of Mobile, Alabama; three daughters, Elnora Perry of Leachville, Rosetta Lorren of Paragould and Anna Lois Burrow of Leachville. He is also survived by four brothers, Goldman Shrable of Flint, Michigan, O. A. Jack Shrable of Paragould; Bill Johnson of Manila, Ray Peters of Paragould; one sister, Luecretia Riley of Paragould; sixteen grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; and by sixteen great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odessie and John Cleveland Shrable; his wife, Annie Shrable; one daughter, Patricia Lambert; one brother, Lee Shrable; and by one sister, Marie Woodhouse.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, January 4th, from 6:00-8:00, at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Kelvin Page, Ryan Shrable and Rocky Shrable officiating. Grandsons, Charles Shrable, Kevin Shrable, Tony Shrable, Joel Burrow, Rocky Shrable, Ryan Shrable, Perry Keith Lorren and Tran Burrow will serve as pallbearers.
Johnny Mack Huckabee
(November 8, 1958 - November 21, 2006)
Johnny Mack Huckabee, 48, of Paragould, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at his residence. Born November 8, 1958, in Paragould, he remodeled houses.
Survivors include his mother, Maxine Huckabee of Paragould; one son, Jacob Huckabee of Paragould; 2 brothers, Rick Huckabee of Paragould and Larry Huckabee of Cardwell, Missouri; one sister, Glenna Huckabee of Arbyrd; and one granddaughter, Bailey Huckabee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Eugene Huckabee.
A family memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould, was in charge of arrangements.
Betty Louise Mabry
(January 12, 1937 - December 20, 2006)
BETTY LOUISE MABRY, 69, of Paragould, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006. Born January 23, 1937, in Lester, Arkansas, she was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Lake View Methodist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Othal (Dub) and Flossie Ryan; and by one sister, Sue Ryan McCamey.
She is survived by her husband of her husband of over 51 years, Ted Mabry; her daughter, Teddi Anderson; and two granddaughters, Megan Crabtree and Arin Anderson, all of Paragould. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Larry Ryan of Paragould, Lonnie Ryan of California, Joan Johnson of Lonsdale, Arkansas, and Debbie Swain of Paragould.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M., Friday, December 22nd, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould, with Jimmy Dale Thrasher and Zach Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 9:00 A. M. until service time at Mitchell Funeral Home.
Gracie Boone Davis
(February 8, 1922 - July 21, 2006)
GRACIE BOONE DAVIS, 84 of Paragould died Friday, July 21, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Davis was born on February 8, 1922 in Walcott, Arkansas, she was a retired waitress.
Survivors include one son: Mike Boone of Paragould, one daughter: Pat Spillman of Paragould, two grandchildren: Colton Boone, Darrin Spillman both of Paragould and two great grandchildren: Priscilla Spillman and Chloe Spillman both of Paragould.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by: her parents: Park and Dora Newsom, one son: Roger Boone, four brothers: Cecil Newsom, Bennie Newsom, Athel Newsom, Weldon Newsom and one sister: Vonda Miller.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Herbert Starr officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Mitchell Funeral Home.
Kansas Jackson
(January 28, 1918 - February 20, 2006)
Kansas Kay Jackson, 88 of Paragould died February 20, 2006 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Mrs. Jackson was born on January 28, 2918 in Goobertown, Arkansas; she was a former sales clerk with Higgins Jewelry and a member of the East Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law: Richard Dicky and Kay Jackson of Paragould, one daughter and son-in-law: Connie and Michael King of Marion, Arkansas, one brother: Harlan Barron of Gainesville, Arkansas, four sisters: Ethel Lee Sims of St. Louis, Missouri, Juanita Guthrie of Peoria, Illinois, Lucille Schuetzenhofer and Joy Tebo both of St. Louis, Missouri, three grandchildren: Pam Jackson of Kansas City, Kansas, Richard Jackson of Paragould and Greg Linsky of Forest City, North Carolina and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by: her husband: Paul Jackson, two sisters: Norma Jean Barron and Lola V. Highfill and her parents: Joe and Martha Barron.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould with Bro. Dennis Scudder officiating. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Mitchell Funeral Home.
Linnie Marie Jackson
(November 15, 1911 - December 14, 2006)
Linnie Marie Jackson, 95, of Paragould, died Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.
Born November 15, 1911, in Gibson, Missouri, Mrs. Jackson retired as a dietary worker from Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, then worked for the Red Cross. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Debbie Jackson of Lexington, Tennessee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Zetta and Bobby White of Manila, and Deanna and Harold Clayton of Paragould. She is also survived by three brothers, Harold Caldwell and Clinton Caldwell, both of Flint, Michigan, Kenneth Caldwell of Gibson, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and by one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora Caldwell; her husband, K. S. Jackson; one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 16th, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould with Sam Leslie, Jackie Fulton, and Tommy Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Dunklin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday at noon at the funeral home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Paul "Jack" McDonald

Paul Jack McDonald, 77 of Paragould died January 21, 2006 at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mr. McDonald was born on April 16, 1928 in Menfro, Missouri he was retired from the United States Air Force and a member of the Gainesville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife: Wilma McDonald of the home, three daughters and sons-in-law Jo Ann and William Allison of Moline, Illinois, Janice and Steven DeVine of Bettendorf, Iowa, Joyce and Dennis Routon of Lafe, Arkansas, one stepson and his wife: Donnie and Janet Howe of Lafe, three brothers: Owen McDonald of St. Charles, Missouri, Rayburn McDonald of Lafe, Kenneth McDonald of Jacksonville, Arkansas, two sisters: Virginia McBee of Paragould, Orma Maddox of Marietta, Georgia, three grandchildren: Brandy Hampton, William Allison III, Britney Allison, one step granddaughter: DaRae Howe and one great granddaughter: Laura Hampton.
Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by: his parents: Arthur and Geneva McDonald, his first wife: Jean McDonald, two brothers: Robert McDonald and Arthur McDonald Jr.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Chad Wagner officiating burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday at the Mitchell Funeral Home.
Agnes B. Pace

Agnes B. Pace, 82 of Paragould died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Born October 12, 1923, in Knobel, Mrs. Pace was a retired sales clerk at Belks and a member of the West View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Pace; her parents, Floyd and Myrtle Murray; and by two brothers, Harold Murray and Ivan Murray.
Survivors include one son, Larry Allen Pace of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Steve Smoker of Paragould; one brother, Bob Murray of Rector, Arkansas; and two granddaughters, Tiffany Pace and Sara Smoker.
Visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Winn officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
Nickolas Crews Sackman

Nickolas Crews Sackman, infant son of Nicholas Sackman and Courtney Mangrum, died April 22 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Along with his parents, he is survived by one sister Gabriella Hope of Paragould; paternal grandparents, Michael and Gale Sackman of Pocahontas; maternal grandparents, Greg and Terri Mangrum of Paragould; paternal great grandparents, Marie Johnson of Yakima, Washington and Robert and Lois Sackman of Pocahontas; maternal great grandparents, Lowel Mangrum of Ravenden and Mary Etta Remagen of Mtn. Home; two aunts, Katelyn Mangrum of Paragould and Elizabeth Sackman of Pocahontas; one uncle, Zeb Blansett of Pocahontas.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Joe and Francis Crews and Wayne Johnson.
Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, April 25 at Greene County Memorial Gardens under direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 P. M. until 1:45 P. M. at Mitchell Funeral Home.
James William Adams
(July 27, 1943 - March 28, 2006)
James William Adams, 62, of Paragould, died Tuesday, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born July 27, 1943, in Clay County and retired from Emerson Electric. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had two hobbies in his life, rabbit hunting and spending lots of time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Linda Adams of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Charity Adams of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Todd Price of Paragould; three brothers, Larry Adams of Lafe, Harold Adams and Eugene Adams, both of Rockford, Illinois; three sisters, Carolyn Hillhouse of Lampe, Missouri, Wanda Whitworth of Paragould, and Debbie Robbins of Senath. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Shana Price, Nauna Price, Ashlyn Adams, Drake Long and Landon Long; a great grandson, Xander, on the way; and by many other friends and family. He was a great husband, father, and papa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Nellie Adams; and by one brother, Lewis Adams.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 31st, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould, with Terry Songer officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at Mitchell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ray Bobbitt, Chris Holifield, Mike McIlvoy, Chad White, Rick Dement, and Anthony Coleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Gray and Carl Ewing.
Terry Lynn Adams
(February 28, 1953 - May 17, 2006)
TERRY LYNN ADAMS, 53, of Paragould, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1953, in Leachville, and was a 1971 graduate of Oak Grove High School. Mr. Adams was a truck driver for Celadon Trucking, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Genia Adams of the home; his mother, Dorthy Adams; and two sons, Chad Adams and Brad Adams, all of Paragould. He is also survived by two sisters, Donna Brooks of Paragould, Phyllis McFarland of Leachville; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Adams of Brookland, Breanna Adams; and two grandsons, Chase Adams and Grant Adams, all of Paragould.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Adams; two sons, Jeff Adams and Terry Mark Adams; and by a brother-in-law, Glen Brooks.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Sunday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould, with Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M Saturday, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.

Olive Janette Beadles
(January 5, 1914 - August 30, 2006)
Olive Janette Beadles, 92, of Winnsboro, Texas, formerly of Paragould, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at Winnsboro.
Mrs. Beadles was born January 5, 1914, in Govilin, Wales, United Kingdom. At the age of 9, she moved to the United States with her parents, William and Louise Whitney. She graduated as an RN from John C. Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. A resident of Paragould for forty years, some may remember her as Dr. O. E. Bradshers nurse. She was a member of Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church.
For the past sixteen years Mrs. Beadles had been living in Texas with her stepdaughter, Doris Beadles Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Courtney Beadles, and her daughter, Rebecca L. Beadles.
She is survived by Doris and Gene Miller, their family and various nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2nd, at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The procession will leave Mitchell Funeral Home at 10:45 a.m., Saturday.
Donnah Virginia Cannady
(May 12, 1918 - September 14, 2006)
Donnah Virginia Cannady, 88, of Paragould, died Thursday, September 14, 2006, at Greene Acres Nursing Home where she had been a resident for several years. She was born May 12, 1918, in Paragould, and was a 1938 graduate of Paragould High School.
She married Charles Oliver Cannady and moved to California. She retired from Capwells Department Store in 1978 and moved back to Paragould in 1993. Mrs. Cannady was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nella Robinson; her sisters, Goldah Wilkerson and Bernadine Robinson; and by a brother, Alfred Robinson.
Survivors include two daughters, Drena Embree of Boise, Idaho, Barbara Cunningham of Belen, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Michael Embree of Utah, Colleen Embree of Idaho, Kris Cunningham and her husband Vince Druktenis of Kansas, and Scott Cunningham of New Mexico. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Duncan Embree, Madison Lindley, Mackenzie Lindley, Ethan Embree, Travis Embree, Jacob Cunningham, Shelby Druktenis, and Amanda Cunningham; niece, Betty Edwards and husband, Jerry; sister-in-law, MaryAnn Robinson; a cousin, Laura Bacon; and by several other cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Scudder officiating, burial will follow in the Browns Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon Monday until service time at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.
Velma Long Adkerson Haddock
(October 9, 1916 - August 8, 2006)
VELMA LONG ADKERSON HADDOCK, 89, of Kennett, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at Heritage Nursing Center, Kennett. Born October 9, 1916, in Rector, she was a retired cafeteria worker for Arbyrd and Cardwell Schools. Mrs. Haddock was a member of Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Dwayne Adkerson of Glen Carbon, Illinois and Jim Adkerson of Kennett. She is also survived by one brother, J. W. Long of Paragould; three grandchildren, Teresa Dick of Flippin, Arkansas, Donya Adkerson of Edwardsville, Illinois, and Jama Adkerson of Kennett; four great grandchildren; and by two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ann Long; her first husband, Edwin Adkerson; her second husband, Fort Haddock; eight brothers, and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, at the Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 11th, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Larry McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery
Norma Hope Ladyman
(November 23, 1928 - February 23, 2006)
NORMA HOPE LADYMAN, 77 of Paragould, died Friday, February 23, 2006 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Born November 23, 1928, in Paragould, Mrs. Ladyman retired from Wal-Mart after twenty years of service. She was a member of the Bethel Station Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Ladyman of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Belinda and Gary Coleman of Paragould, Lorrie Lipe, Jamie and Mel Gore all of Portage, Indiana; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dewane and Bill Hunter, Jesslyn Boozer, Cathy and Carrol Childress all of Paragould; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Miller and husband Tom of Greer, South Carolina, Joshua Coleman of San Antonio, Texas, Jason Coleman and wife Laura of Paragould, Mallory, John, and Michael Gore, Casey and Carrie Lipe all of Portage, Indiana; one great granddaughter, Jaden Hope Miller of Greer, South Carolina.
Mrs. Ladyman was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Holifield; her mother, Ruth Cooper; her stepfather, J. R. Cooper; one son, Robert Earl Griggs and one grandson, Justin E. Griggs.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 26th, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould with Marc Reeves and Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Saturday at the Mitchell Funeral Home.

Dr. Michael Dale Kieffner
(March 4, 1952 - January 29, 2006)
Dr. Michael Dale Kieffner, 53, of Kennett, died Sunday, January 29, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center.
Born March 4, 1952, in Waukegan, Illinois, Dr. Kieffner was a chiropractor who practiced in Kennett for twelve years prior to retirement. He was a graduate of Crowleys Ridge College, Harding University, and Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis. He was a member of Mountain Home Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Pansy Kieffner of Kennett; his father, J. W. Kieffner of Little Rock; his mother, Fayrene Kieffner of Paragould; one son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Michael and Charlotte Kieffner; one daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Scott Garner, all of Hot Springs; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Brody Kieffner and Peyton Garner. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 1st, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould, with Emmett Floyd Smith III and Art Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday at Mitchell Funeral Home.
Harold Gene Agee
(February 7, 1950 - January 8, 2006)
Harold Junior Gene Agee, 55, from Paragould, passed from this life and into the presence of his Lord on Sunday, January 8, 2006. Mr. Agee was born February 7, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a 1968 graduate of Greene County Tech High School and attended Crowley's Ridge College. He was a youth basketball coach and a United States Air Force veteran. He was also the former owner of Agee's Tractors and Parts. Mr. Agee was a member of the Paragould Church of God where he served as an assistant Adult Sunday School teacher and ministered with his gift of singing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Lee Agee, and by his infant brother, Heath Allen Agee.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Andrews Agee; his mother, Laverne Glover Agee; two sisters, Patricia Agee and Christina Agee Mosley and husband, David Mosley; a brother, Travis Agee; his stepmother, Bridge Agee Lane; his mother-in-law, Susie Irene Andrews; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Helen Andrews and Travis and Carol VanDon; three nephews, Brad Andrews, Jason Clark, and Gabriel Mosley; five nieces, Marty Brown, Gina Bayird, Charlotte Hester, Audrey Agee, and Isabella Mosley, all of Paragould. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould, with Winford Walters and Don Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Jagger Kole Fletcher, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Cardinal Glennon Hospital, St. Louis. He was born August 7, 2006, in St. Louis.
Survivors include his father, Brian Fletcher, his mother, Alicia Robinson, both of Paragould; paternal grandparents, Don and Mary Fletcher; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Raelynn Dodson, all of Paragould; paternal great grandmother, Mary Yates of Marmaduke; and maternal great grandparents, Helen Jones, and Shirley Keeling, both of Paragould. He is also survived by three sisters, Kylie Greene and Kayten Thompson, of Paragould; and by Madison Snow of Jonesboro.
Jagger was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Raymond Robinson; and one great uncle, Duane Keeling.
