WALNUT RIDGE , DEC. 3, - THE ADVANTAGE OF CO=OPERATION IN TRADE WAS THOROUGHLY DEMONSTRATED HERE SATURDAY , BY A TRANSACTION AT THE PITZALE STORE WHEREBY THE SHOE MANUFACTURERS LOST A BET.

A.L. RAINEY , A MAIN STREET BARBER , WHO HAS NO RIGHT FOOT AND EMMET POE OF ELNORA , WH IS MISSING ON THE LEFT CYLINDER , JOINED FORCES AND ENTERED THE STORE TO BUY A PAIR OF SHOES. THEIR COMBINED TASTES IN FOOTWEAR EVENTUALLY SETTLED ON A COMFORTABLE MAKE WHICH RETAILED AT $ 12.50 . EACH PURCHASER FITTED ON A SHOE , EACH PAID THE CLERK $6.25 AND BOTH WALKED OUT OF THE STORE FULLY EQUIPPED ON THE HOOF FOR WINTER.

CLARENCE WEBB , THE SALESMAN WAS LEFT BEHIND THE COUNTER GASPING . HE SAYS IT IS THE FIRST CASE OF THAT KIND HE HAS EVER ENCOUNTERED DURING HIS EXPERIENCE AS A SHOE SALESMAN.
