SEPTEMBER 18, 1909 - THE DAILY SOLIPHONE

AFTER AN ABSENCE OF OVER THREE YEARS CLARENCE COX ARRIVED HOME TODAY AND IS RECEIVING A HEARTY WELCOME FROM HIS MANY FRIENDS. CLARENCE HAS BEEN A SOLDIER BOY AND FOR THREE YEARS HAS BEEN A SOLDIER BOY AND FOR THREE YEARS HAS BEEN SERVING UNCLE SAM . ALTHOUGH NOT TICKLED TO DEATH WITH ARMY LIFE HE IS WELL PLEASED WITH HIS SERVICE IN THAT IT GAVE HIM AN EXPERIENCE OF MUCH TRAVEL AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE COUNTRY.

HE SERVED TWO YEARS IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS AND HAS LOTS OF INTERESTING STORIES TO RELATE TO HIS FRIENDS . HE WAS MUSTERED OUT OF FT. RUSSELL , WYO. THE 25TH OF LAST MONTH BUT INSTEAD OF COMING DIRECTLY HOME DECIDED TO LOOK OVER UNCLE SAM'S WESTERN DOMAIN AND VISIT POINTS OF INTEREST .

HE VISITED CHEYENNE WHERE HE WITNESSED A BIG FRONTIER ROUND UP AND FROM THERE WENT TO DENVER , FROM THERE HE PURCHASED A TICKET HOME.
