THE OAK GROVE 4-H CLUB

OAK GROVE 4-H CLUB MET FOR ITS REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING THURSDAY , MARCH 21 , 1940.

THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY THE PRESIDENT J.D. TRACER AND THE SONGS WERE LEAD BY SONG LEADERS , ALINE SMITH AND LEON GRIMES . THE MINUTES WERE READ BY THE SECRETARY , NADYNE WEATHERLY .

MRS. GERALDINE G. ORRELL , HOME DEMONSTRATION AGENT , GAVE HELPFUL HINTS IN ROOM IMPROVEMENTS.

D.V. MALOCH , COUNTY AGENT DEMONSTRATED THE USE OF A SELF CHICKEN FEEDER . LOCAL LEADERS WHO ASSISTED WITH THE MEETING WERE MRS. ALMUS McNEIL AND E.W. LITTLE.

THE OAK GROVE HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB , FOR ITS REGULAR MEETING THURSDAY , MARCH 21, 1940.

THE MEETING WAS HELD AT THE HOME OF MRS. CHARLES SMITH , THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY THE PRESIDENT MRS. MELVIN STIMSON . MRS. BOB PENNY , DEVOTIONAL LEADER READ THE 20TH CHAPTER OF ST. JOHN .

ONE NEW MEMBER MRS. CHARLES SMITH , WAS ADDED TO THE ROLL. IN THE ABSENCE OF THE BETTER BABIES LEADER , MRS. RALPH TAYLOR GAVE A REPORT ON THE MEETING HELD MARCH 6, IN THE COURTROOM.

THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDED TALKS ON A HOT SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM GIVEN BY T.A. BLAKELEY AND MRS. GERALDINE G. ORRELL , HOME DEMONSTRATION AGENT , EXPLAINED HOW THE GOVERMENT IS GIVING SURPLUS COTTON AND BED TICKING TO EACH FARM FAMILY AND FARM LABORER IN GREENE COUNTY WHOSE YEARLY INCOME IS LESS THAN $400.

THE CLUB ADJOURNED TO MEET WITH MRS. MELVIN STIMSON ON APRIL 17. MRS. HARRY WALDEN WILL GIVE A BOOK REPORT ON " ONE HUNDRED MILLION GUINEA PIGS. "
