FRED PENIX , OF PENIX BROS. CLEANING AND PRESSING PARLORS , FOUND SEWED UP IN A LADIES COAT BLONGING TO MRS. J.F. DAVIS OF TRUMAN , $1200.00 IN CASH. FROM THE FACTS OBTAINED , THE MONEY CONSISTED OF SEVEN $100 AND ONE $500 BILLS WAS SEWED UP IN THE COAT FOR MORE THAN A YEAR AND HAD BEEN FORGOTTEN ABOUT , BY THE SISTER OF MRS. DAVIS .

THE COAT HAD BEEN BROUGHT TO THE CLEANERS IT WAS THOUGHT BY THE LADY THAT THE MONEY MIGHT BE INSIDE THE LINING AND IN ORDER TO ASCERTAIN MR. PENIX WAS CALLED TO LOOK OUT FOR THE MONEY . HE DID SO BY RIPPING OUT THE LINING AND FOUND THE MONEY INTACT.

MRS DAVIS WAS NOTIFIED AT ONCE THAT HER MONEY HAD BEEN RECORVERED AND WOULD BE RETURNED TO HER .
