THE COUNTY CANDIDATES WERE AT BETHEL YESTERDAY ON THEIR GRAND ROUND AND BESIDES FURNISHING A HIGH GRADE BRAND OF ORATORY THEY INDULGED IN AN EXCITING GAME OF BASEBALL WITH THE BETHEL BOYS , THE SCORE BEING 12 TO 2 IN FAVOR THE BETHEL BOYS . COUNTY CLERK JAP EDWARDS SAYS IT WAS A GREAT GAME AND EVERBODY HAD FUN. JUDGE LIGHT ACTED AS UMPIRE .

THE FEATURE OF THE GAME WAS THE BATTING AND BASE RUNNING OF BIG ED LAWSON . HE PASTED THE HORSEHIDE ON THE NOSE FOR A STINGING TWO BAGGS AND ALMOST TORE THE EARTH UP RUNNING THE BASES.
