THE ANNUAL DEER AND TURKEY HUNTS

THE FIRST TO LEAVE WAS JIM BOONE'S PARTY . JIM SAYS HIS CLUB IS NOT A CHARTERED ORGANIZATION AND BEARS NO INCORPORATED NAME, BUT THAT IT DELIVERS THE GOODS. JIM'S CLUB IS COMPOSED OF THE FOLLOWING HUNTERS ; JIM BOONE , NEWT WRIGHT , HARRY ISLER , HENRY HANKEY , HENRY GLOVKA , JOHN STULL , FRANK CLEVELAND , AND BEN REED , COOK. THEY LEFT ON THE 4 O'CLOCK TRAIN SATURDAY MORNING FOR THE RIGHT SHOOT OF LITTLE RIVER , ABOUT TWENTY MILES SOUTH OF LAKE CITY.

THE SECOND PARTY TO LEAVE WAS THE PARAGOULD HUNTING CLUB WHICH STARTED OUT YESTERDAY MORNING FOR THE WILDS OF DESHA COUNTY . THEY WENT KELSO AND FROM THAT POINT PENETRATED INTO THE INTERIOR. THOSE COMPOSING THE PARTY ARE HERSCHEL NEELY , EUGENE SMITH , WILL TRICE , CHARLIE STEDMAN , ED LAWSON , GORDON BEAUCHAMP , BOB MERIWETHER AND ELI MEISER . THEY EXPECT TO BE GONE TWO WEEKS , J.D. BLOCK WILL PROBABLY JOIN THEM WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS.

THE THIRD PARTY TO LEAVE IS THE SUREGO HUNTING CLUB WHICH DROVE OUT OF TOWN THIS MORNING IN COVERED WAGONS FOR CACHE RIVER NEAR THE POINSETT COUNTY LINE. THOSE IN THIS PARTY WERE MARION AND J. D. FUTRELL , JAP EDWARDS , STILLMAN ORICK , R.Y. SHOOK , JOHN HONEY , MIKE HUDDLESTON , J.C. EDWARDS AND JUDGE JASON LIGHT.
