MRS. MATTIE WHITE LEFT THIS MORNING FOR ARKADELPHIA WHERE SHE WILL TAKE A POSITION AS ASSISTANT TEACHER OF MUSIC AT QUACHITA COLLEGE.

MRS. LENA KITCHENS LEFT THIS MORNING FOR JONESBORO WHERE SHE WILL RESUME HER POSITION AS A TEACHER AT THE PUBLIC SCHOOL . SCHOOL WILL OPEN TOMORROW .

C.R. AND A.L. LOOMIS TWO YOUNG REAL ESTATE MEN FROM LITTLE ROCK ARE HERE LOOKING OVER THE TOWN , WITH A VEIW OF LOCATING HERE.

THE INFANT SON OF MR. AND MRS. GUS JACKSON WH WAS SEVERLY SCALDED LAST FRIDAY BY FALLING IN A TUB OF HOT WATER , HAS BEEN SERIOUSLY ILL . THE ATTENDING PHYSICIAN THINKS HE WILL PULL THROUGH ALL RIGHT .

MR. AND MRS. CLIFF MATTHEWS RETURNED LAST NIGHT FROM KENTUCKY . MRS. MARKHAM HAS BEEN VISITING AT LOUISVILLE AND FULTON SHE ATTENDED THE MARRIAGE OF HER BROTHER-N-LAW ED MARKHAM TO MISS MINNIE LEE SKAGGS , AT HORSE CAVE , KY.

MISS TAYLOR KNOX OF PARAGOULD A AUNT OF MRS. C.E. WEBB PASSED THROUGH THIS MORNING ENROUTE TO PINE BLUFF .

A.I. WELBOURN THE WELL KNOWN PHOTOGRAPHER , IS HAVING HIS BUSINESS REMODELED.

THE FIRST NUMBER OF THE PARAGOULD LYCEUM COURSE , A CONCERT BY THE CHICAGO GLEE CLUB WILL OCCUR ON MONDAY NIGHT , OCT. 2 IN THE SUNDAY SCHOOL ROOM OF THE METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH.

DR. A.G. CONE , OF CAMPBELL , MO. CAME DOWN SUNDAY NIGHT WITH MRS. AUTREY WHO UNDERWENT A SEVERE ABDOMINAL OPERATION YESTERDAY DR. DICKSON REPORTS HER CONDITION IS SATISFACTORY.

J. WRIGHT FORMERLY OF MARMADUKE , BUT NOW RESIDING IN MEMPHIS WAS OPERATED ON YESTERDAY FOR KIDNEY STONES.

F.A. BULLINGTON OF HARRISBURG , HAS ENTERED THE SANITARIUM FOR TREATMENT OF MALARIA FEVER.

FUNERAL OF MRS. R.O. ROGERS , WHO DIED SUNDAY AT HER HOME IN ALTUS , OKLAHOMA , WILL BE HELD TOMORROW AFTERNOON AT 1 O'CLOCK IN THE FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN PARAGOULD , FOLLOWED BY INTERMENT IN LINWOOD CEMETERY . THE SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED BY REV. J.J. LOCKHART , PASTOR OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH AT JONESBORO.

REV. ROGERS WILL ARRIVE ON THE NORTHBOUND COTTON BELT TONIGHT WITH THE REMAINS OF HIS WIFE . THE BODY WILL BE TAKEN TO THE HOUSE OF J.A. MORGAN ON NORTH THIRD STREET TILL TIME FOR SERVICES.

THE FATHER OF MRS. ROGERS , HER ONE BROTHER AND THREE SISTERS OF MALDEN , MO. WILL ARRIVE TONIGHT FOR THE FUNERAL.

JIM BOONE , MARION FUTRELL , ELI MEISSER AND HARRY ISIAC RETURNED HOME LAST NIGHT FROM POINSETT COUNTY WHERE THEY SPENT THE PAST FOUR DAYS IN A FRUITLESS HUNT FOR DEER . MR. BOONE SAYS ALL THE PARTY KILLED WAS SEVERAL MILLION MOSQUITOS AND HORSE FLIES. THE PARTY JUMPED SEVERAL DEER BUT THE FOLIAGE WAS SO THICK SHOOTING WAS IMPOSSIBLE AND THE WEATHER WAS TO WARM THAT THE DOGS COULD NOT FOLLOW THE TRAIL .

THE DAUGHTER OF DOE ADAMS RESIDING NEAR GUBERTOWN (CRAIGHEAD CO.) DIED TODAY. THE FUNERAL WILL BE HELD AT PINE LOG CHURCH AND INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW IN PINE LOG CEMETERY. REV. A.C. GRIFFIN WILL OFFICIATE.
