PURELY PERSONAL PARAGOULD

E.N. SANDERS, MRS. DORA STUBBLEFIELD AND GEORGE CAIN OF THE EXTENSION OFFICE WENT TO LITTLE ROCK , TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE EXTENSION WORKERS OF THE STATE.

EDWARD McCULLY AND FAMILY HAVE ARRIVED IN THE UNITED STATES FROM THE ISLAND OF JAMAICA WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN STATIONED FOR SEVERAL YEARS .

MR. AND MRS. A.G. CRAVER AND SON RETURNED FROM BATESVILLE, MISS. WHERE THEY ATTENDED THE FUNERAL OF MRS. CRAVER'S MOTHER MRS. S.B. WESTMORELAND.

MRS. WALTER ELLIS , MRS. ROBERT L. WRAPE AND MRS. HARRY JONES WENT SHOPPING IN MEMPHIS , WEDNESDAY.

SEVERAL PEOPLE FROM PARAGOULD TRAVELED TO JONESBORO , MONDAY TO ATTEND A PIANO CONCERT GIVEN BY THE TELTSCHIKO BROTHERS . THOSE ATTENDING THE CONCERT WAS ; MR. AND MRS. RAY MERIWETHER AND CHILDREN JACK AND JANE , MRS. J.O. GUNN , MRS. EMILY MEISER , MRS. HAROLD MAYES , CATHRYNE DICKINSON , MRS. L.G. STRAUB AND SONS TEDDY AND JERRY , MRS. T.D. FLIPPIN AND MRS. GEORGE BUSH.

MRS. GEORGE THIEL IS DOING A FINE JOB IN HER LANDSCAPING PLOT AT THE CEMETERY GATE , WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE JONESBORO HIGHWAY. WITH THE COOPERATION OF MAYOR WILLCOCKSON AND HELP FROM ARTHUR ROGERS, KEEPER OF THE CEMETERY, AND HIS HELPER WHO HAVE BEEN HELPING HER PLANT SHRUBS.

THREE NANDINAS AND OTHER PRETTY SHRUBS HAVE BEEN PLANTED IN MEMORY OF MRS. F.J. HEATON , WHO WAS A MEMBER OF THE PARAGOULD GARDEN CLUB. MR. DON RILEY DONATED TWO OF THE NANDINAS.

MRS. McPHEARSON AND MRS. GEORGE THIEL WANT TO THANK THE CITY AND THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT FOR ASSISTING THEM IN BEAUTIFING THIS PLOT . OTT TINSLEY AND CECIL EUBANK OF THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT FURNISHED TEN LOADS OF DIRT THAT WAS USED IN LEVELING UP THE PLOT.
