DES MOINES , DEC. 4 - KEITH COLLINS PLEADED GUILTY IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT YESTERDAY TO CHARGES OF ROBBING THE UNITED STATES MAIL AND IN CONNECTION WITH BURLINGTON RAILROAD HOLDUP AT COUNCIL BLUFFS , IOWA ON NOVEMBER 13 . JUDGE MARTIN J. WADE SENTENCED HIM TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON .

WHEN THE CASE WAS CALLED THE COURT TOLD THAT COLLINS TOOK ABOUT $50, 000 VASH AND MORE THAN A MILLION DOLLAR BONDS FROM POSTAL POUCHES AND RETAINED ABOUT $ 25, 000 CASH AS HIS SHARE . IT WAS CLAIMED BY COLLINS THE OTHER $500,000 WAS THROWN INTO THE MISSOURI RIVER AT COUNCIL BLUFFS . MOST OF THE CASH RETAINED BY COLLINS HAS BEEN RECOVERED.
