H.A. McADOO AND MISS JOSEPHINE MOORE WERE UNITED IN MARRIAGE AT THE RESIDENCE OF REV. A.C. GRIFFIN YESTERDAY AFTERNOON , THAT POPULAR MINISTER PERFORMING THE CEREMONY. THE BRIDE IS A STEPDAUGHER OF MR. SHOEMAKER , THE RESTAURANT MAN AND MR. McADOO IS TRAVELING IN THE COUNTY IN THE INTEREST OF A MEDICINE COMPANY . THEY WILL MAKE THEIR HOME IN THE SOUTHEASTERN PORTION OF THE CITY.

THE RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE ENGAGEMENT OF MISS SADIE BERGER TO MR. ASHLEY HAS CREATED MUCH INTEREST IN PARAGOULD'S SOCIAL SWIM.

MR. SALE IS ONE OF THE MOST PROMINENT YOUNG BUSINESS MEN OF THE CITY. HOLDING AN IMPORTANT POSITION AT THE STORE OF S.L. JOSEPH MERC. CO. HE IS CONNECTED WITH ONE OF THE LEADING AND HIGHLY HONERED JEWISH FAMILIES IN THE COUNTRY , BEING A SON OF RABBI SALE , OF ST. LOUIS .

THE BRIDE IS THE DAUGHTER OF MR. AND MRS. MORRIS BERGER OF JONESBORO .

THE EXACT DATE OF THE APPROCHING WEDDING HAS NOT BEEN ANNOUNCED BUT WILL TAKE PLACE THIS FALL.

CHILD BRIDE GOES INSANE

WEDNESDAY , SEPTEMBER 10, 1909 - THE DAILY SOLIPHONE

MRS. BESSIE O'BRIEN OF BELLEVILLE , WAS PLACED IN THE PULASKI COUNTY HOSPITAL YESTERDAY FOR TREATMENT. IT IS SAID THAT SHE IS VIOLENTLY INSANE AND BUT LITTLE HOPE IS ENTERTAINED FOR HER RECOVERY. MRS. O'BRIEN IS ONLY 17 YEARS OF AGE AND UP TO THREE MONTHS AGO WAS MISS BESSIE PAGE , A TELEPHONE OPERATOR AT THE NEW CAPITOL HOTEL. SHE MARRIED JOE O'BRIEN , WHO IS NOW UNDER ARREST AT DANVILLE ON A CHARGE OF BIGAMY , THE GIRL'S BROTHER BEING THE INFORMER. IT IS SAID THAT O'BRIEN WHO IS ONLY 21 YEARS OF AGE , HAS A WIFE LIVING IN BIRMINGHAM , ALABAMA , WHO WROTE HIS ARKANSAS BRIDE A FEW DAYS AFTER THE WEDDING . IT IS SAID THAT THE EXPOSURE OF HER HUSBAND CAUSED THE YOUNG WOMEN TO LOSE HER MIND. O'BRIEN DENIES THE CHARGE AND SAYS HIS LITTLE ROCK WIFE IS THE ONLY WOMAN HE EVER MARRIED.

MARRIAGE AT LORADO

ARTHUR WEATHERLY AND MISS NORA ADAMS JOINED IN WEDLOCK BY REV. A.C. GRIFFIN

REV. A.C. GRIFFIN PERFORMED A MARRIAGE CERMONY AT LORADO YESTERDAY (OCT. 24, 1909 ) AT 11:30 A.M. THAT UNITED FOR LIFE TWO YOUNG PEOPLE . MR. ARTHUR WEATHERLY OF POCAHONTAS AND MISS NORA ADAMS OF LORADO. THE MARRIAGE OCCURRED AT THE NEW METHODIST CHURCH AT LORADO AND WAS WITNESSED BY A LARGE CONCOURSE OF PEOPLE . AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE CERMONY BRO. GRIFFIN PREACHED A SERMON AND AFTER THE RELIGIOUS SERVICE WAS CONCLUDED A NUMBER OF FRIENDS OF THE PARTIES REPAIRED TO THE HOME OF THE BRIDE WERE A SUMPTOUS WEDDING DINNER WAS ENJOYED.

THE BRIDE IS A DAUGHTER OF UNCLE HENRY ADAMS , ONE OF THE OLD AND RESPECTED CITIZENS OF THE LORADO COMMUNITY . SHE HAS BEEN A TEACHER IN THE SCHOOLS OF THE COUNTY AND HAS TAUGHT AT LORADO.

MR. WEATHERLY IS CONNECTED WITH A MERCANTILE ESTABLISHMENT AT POCAHONTAS AND IS A MEMBER OF AN OLD AND HIGHLY RESPECTED FAMILY , HIS MOTHER BEING A DAUGHTER OF UNCLE CHARLEY FORSYTHE OF THIS COUNTY AND HIS FATHER A NEPHEW OF UNCLE BILL WEATHERLY .

THE COUPLE WILL MAKE THEIR HOME AT POCAHONTAS. THE SOLIPHONE UNITES WITH THEIR NUMEROUS FRIENDS IN EXTENDING CONGRATULATIONS.

MISS PEARL ROWNS AND HANAN DEWEESE , PROMINENT AND POPULAR YOUNG PEOPLE OF STONEWALL , WERE MARRIED IN PARAGOULD SATURDAY , AT THE COURT HOUSE . ESQ. R.C. McCULLOUGH OF STONEWALL PRONOUNCING THE CERMONY. WITNESSED BY JOHN EDWARDS , A FRIEND OF THE GROOM , AND MISS ESSIE ROWNS , SISTER OF THE BRIDE . MR. AND MRS. DEWEESE WILL MAKE THEIR HOME AT STONEWALL.

MISS INEZ CYPERT , A YOUNG SOCIETY BELLE OF SEARCY , IS TO BE MARRIED TUESDAY OCT. 26TH AT SEARCY , ARKANSAS TO HENRY REICHLE , FORMERLY OF PARAGOULD . THE BRIDE IS RELATED TO THE MACKS OF PARAGOULD , AND IS WELL KNOWN HERE. SHE IS THE DAUGHTER OF J.N. CYPERT A TRAVELING SALESMAN OF A CINCINNATI CLOTHING CONCERN , AND PARAGOULD IS IN HIS TERRITORY.

THE GROOM IS RELATED TO THE WRAPES AND WAS EMPLOYED HERE THREE YEARS BY WRAPE STAVE COMPANY , DURING WHICH TIME HE MADE MANY FRIENDS .

LAST YEAR THE WRAPE COMPANY PUT IN A LARGE STAVE PLANT AT SEARCY AND MR. REICHLE WAS SENT THERE TO GUARD THEIR INTERESTS AND ASSIST IN THE MANAGEMENT OF THE BUSINESS . HE IS THE SON OF JOHN REICHLE OF THIS CITY WHO LEFT OVER THE IRON MOUNTAIN TODAY FOR SEARCY TO BE AT THE WEDDING.

A VERY PRETTY WEDDING TOOK PLACE THIS AFTERNOON AT THE HOME OF MRS. MATILDA LUNDBERG , 1313 MANISTEE ST. WHEN HER DAUGHTER ANNA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO MR. WALTER LYNN SCOTT OF PARAGOULD , ARK. BY THE REV. J.J. STALEY AT 3:30 . AFTER THE CERMONY THE BRIDAL PARTY PARTOOK OF A SUMPTOUS WEDDING SUPPER.

THE HAPPY COUPLE WAS PRESENTED WITH WEDDING PRESENTS . THE HOME WAS TASTILY DECORATED FOR THE OCCASION .

THE GROOM IS EDITOR AND PROPRIETOR OF THE PARAGOULD DEMOCRAT , WHILE THE BRIDE IS ONE OF MANISTEE'S PREPOSSESSING YOUNG LADIES OF REFINEMENT. THEY LEAVE TONIGHT FOR CHICAGO , ST. LOUIS AND OTHER POINTS ON THEIR WEDDING TRIP ENROUTE FOR THEIR FUTURE HOME IN PARAGOULD , ARKANSAS. THE HAPPY COUPLE TAKE WITH THEM THE BEST WISHES OF A HOST OF FRIENDS WHO WISH THEM A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE .

MISS HAZEL JONES AND MR. DUNCAIN MOORE , OF LITTLE ROCK , WERE MARRIED AT THE HOME OF THE BRIDE'S PARENTS IN NEWPORT SUNDAY EVENING AT 8 O'CLOCK AND AFTER THE CERMONY AND CONGRATULATIONS LEFT FOR ST. LOUIS TO VISIT AND ATTEND THE CENTENNIAL EXPOSITION AFTER WHICH THEY WILL BE AT HOME TO THEIR FRIENDS IN LITTLE ROCK.

THE BRIDE IS A NIECE OF W.H. JONES OF THIS CITY AND IS WELL KNOW IN PARAGOULD'S SOCIAL LIFE , HAVING WON MANY FRIENDS DURING HER VISITS TO HER UNCLES LAST SUMMER. AND THE GROOM COMING FROM A VERY PROMINENT FAMILY IN LITTLE ROCK.

THE YOUNG COUPLE ARE PROMINENT IN THE SOCIAL CIRCLES OF THE LORADO NEIGHBORHOOD AND THEIR MARRIAGE WILL BE A SUPRISE TO MANY OF THEIR FRIENDS.

WILL EVANS ON SOUTH SIXTH AVENUE , REV. A.C. GRIFFIN PERFORMING THE CERMONY . THE GROOM IS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE PARAGOULD HANDLE FACTORY , AND THE BRIDE IS A POPULAR YOUNG LADY OF SOUTH PARAGOULD . A NUMBER OF WITNESSED THE CEREMONY. THEY WILL LIVE IN PARAGOULD.

CUPID GOT HIS WIRES CROSSED IN MATING MR. AND MRS. MELSON , BUT PARTLY RECTIFIED HIS MISTAKE BY DELIVERING MRS. MELSON INTO THE HANDS OF J. CARTER AS HIS BRIDE SOON AFTER SEPARATING THE MISMATED PAIR .

MRS. MELSON ON WEDNESDAY OBTAINED A DIVORCE FROM MR. MELSON , ALLEGING DESERTION AND LAST NIGHT WAS MARRIED TO MR. CARTER , ESQ. COLE PERFORMED THE CEREMONY AT HIS HOME ON W. COURT STREET. IN HER COMPLAINT MRS. MELSON ALLEGED THAT HER FORMER HUSBAND DESERTED HER IN THE SPRING 1907 . ALL PARTIES RESIDE IN PARAGOULD AND MR. AND MRS. CARTER WILL MAKE THEIR HOME IN SOUTH PARAGOULD.

THE RECEPTION WHICH FOLLOWED WAS HELD AT THE HOME OF THE BRIDE'S BROTHER , MILTON ALVEY , ON EAST MAIN STREET. THE NEWLY MADE MAN AND WIFE LEFT WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOR A VISIT OF TWO WEEKS TO RELATIVES AND FRIENDS AT CHARLESTON , MO.

THEY HAVE NOT YED DECIDED WHERE THEY WILL MADE THEIR HOME BUT EXPECT TO RETURN TO THIS CITY.
