A COLORED SCHOOL

THE JONESBORO ENTERPRISE OF YESTERDAY SAYS:

PROF. GARNETT OF JEFFERSON CITY , MO. AND OCCUPYING A CHAIR AS GREEK AND LATIN INSTRUCTOR IN A COLORED COLLEGE THERE IS IN THE CITY FOR A FEW DAYS TRYING TO INTEREST THE PEOPLE TO THE EXTENT OF ESTABLISHING A NORMAL HERE FOR THE COLORED PEOPLE. HE IS A VERY LEARNED MAN AND IS MEETING WITH SOME SUCESS IN HIS EFFORT , BUT IT CANNOT BE SAID AS TO WHETHER HE WILL SECURE ENOUGH SUPPORT TO ESTABLISH HIS SCHOOL.
