THE JURY IN THE CHARLES BITTICK MURDER CASE , TRIED AT TRENTON , AFTER 48 HOURS DELIBERATION , BROUGHT IN A VERDICT OF MANSLAUGHTER AND FIXING THE PUNISHMENT AT THREE YEARS IN THE PENITENTIARY. THE LIGHT VERDICT IS A SURPRISE . MUCH INTEREST WAS MANIFESTED IN THE TRIAL , FOR BITTICK WAS CHARGED WITH KILLING HIS FATHER-N-LAW AND TRYING TO KILL HIS WIFE.
