IN CRAIGHEAD COUNTY SUFFIECENT RETURNS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED TO ASSURE THE ELECTION OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OFFICERS: W.W. CATE , REPRESENTATIVE . J.F. RAINES , JUDGE ; JOHN R. GEGSON , COUNTY CLERK , T.W. ALTMAN , CIRCUIT CLERK , W.D. COB , TREASURER ; J.H. BURK , SHERIFF , A.G. HINES , CORONER , EUGENE PARRISH CARRIES THE COUNTY FOR CONGREESS BY 200 OR MORE MAJORITY . JEFF DAVIS WILL HAVE A MAJORITY OF BETWEEN 600 AND 700 , WHILE EX GOVERNOR JAMES P. CLARKE WILL LEAD IN THE SENAORIAL RACE WITH SOMETHING NEAR 1,000 . THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST EXCITING PRIMARY ELECTION EVER HELD IN THIS PART OF THE STATE.
