REX CONWELL CAME HOME FROM JONESBORO THIS MORNING , ON A SHORT VISIT TO HIS RELATIVES . HE HAS BEEN AT WORK THERE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS.

HARRY CONWELL , WHO ACCOMPANIED MRS. HAMMONDS TO CALIFORNIA THREE MONTHS AGO , HAS RETURNED HOME . HE CAME SEVERAL DAYS AGO. J.B. HALE OF CARDWELL , CAME IN ON LAST EVENING'S P.S.E. AND WENT TO ST. LOUIS ON THE CANNON BALL LAST NIGHT . HE WILL BE THERE FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

PETER SNYDER , THE JEWELER WHO HAS BEEN IN CHICAGO FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS, RETURNED ON THIS MORNING'S CANNON BALL, AND AFTER A BRIEF REST , WILL BE FOUND AT HIS OLD PLACE OF BUSINESS WITH L.J. EMPFIELD.

J.E. THOMAS , THE DECATOR EGG CASE MAN , IS IN THE CITY FROM CARDWELL , MO. TODAY. HE WAS HERE PART OF YESTERDAY ALSO.

ALLEN GOSSETT , OF MARMADUKE , WAS IN TOWN YESTERDAY AND PURCHASED A TEAM OF JOHN ROSSON AND A NEW WAGON FROM JOSEPH. HE IS GOING TO HAULING.

J.H. MCELHANEY , WHO HAS BEEN THE OUTSIDE "HUSTLER" FOR THE PARAGOULD STEAM LAUNDRY , HAS SEVERED HIS CONNECTION WITH THAT ENTERPRISE FOR THE PRESENT.

DANIEL FUTRELL , ONE OF OUR HUSTLING WEST SIDE FARMERS, WAS TRADING IN TOWN YESTERDAY. HE REPORTS THE YOUNG CROPS IN HIS NEIGHBOR HOOD AS BEING IN FINE CONDITION.

MISS PEARL MCLEOD , OF MISSISSIPPI , CAME IN NIGHT BEFORE LAST , AND IS THE GUEST OF HER BROTHERS , WILL AND CHARLEY MCLEOD AND FAMILIES FOR A FEW WEEKS.

D.H. BERRY , WHO IS SELLING HARVESTING MACHINERY , WAS A VISITOR AT THE SOLIPHONE OFFICE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. HE REPORTS TRADE GOOD IN HIS LINE , BUT SAYS THE WHEAT PROSPECTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF LORADO ARE NOT VERY PROMISING.

HENRY LANCASTER , ONE OF THE MOST EXTENSIVE AND ENTERPRISING FARMERS IN THE COUNTY , PASSED THROUGH THE CITY TODAY ON HIS RETRN FROM AN INSPECTION OF HIS FARM IN HURRICANE TOWNSHIP . HE REPORTS CROPS TO BE IN SPLENDID CONDITION.

MRS. CRA JOHNSON CAME IN FROM KNOBEL ON THE CANNON BALL THIS MORNING AND WENT TO WHEATLEY ON THE COTTON BELT . SHE WILL BE THE GUEST OF HER RELATIVE , REV. TALKINGTON AND FAMILY FOR A WHILE.
