Ophans Adopted
I have run across so much other information that might help
others. It don't have anything to do with Greene County
but I feel needs to be posted for others that could help in
their searches .

THE CHILDREN OF THE BRIDGEPORT PROTESTANT ORPHAN ASYLUM
November 8, 1927
This picture was taken one morning at 6:30, as the children set out for an all day outing.
The past summer has been a milestone in the lives of the children.
With their own hands they have painted their furniture and dormitories, entirely transforming
the interior of the orphanage. Each child, by the courtesy of friends of the orphanage, and
a local bank , has the nucleus of a bank account. The bank has promised each an
additional quarter for every dollar entered in his bank book.
