APRIL 2, 1902

MAYNESS AND SPILLMAN HAVE CONSOLIDATED THEIR MILL AND WILL MAKE MEAL FOR THE PEOPLE . THEY GRIND EVERY SATURDAY.

THERE WILL BE PREACHING AT HUNT'S CHAPPEL THREE SUNDAYS IN EACH MONTH FROM THIS DATE ON. SUNDAY SCHOOL AND SINGING EVERY SUNDAY EVENING. EVERYBODY IS INVITED TO COME AND TAKE PART IN THE SERVICES.

THE INFANT OF R.L. WATSON DIED ON THE 29TH OF MARCH.

CHAS. WALSH HAS BEEN QUITE ILL WITH PNEUMONIA SEVERAL DAYS.

J.W. WATSON IS HELPING SHERIFF GRAYSON IN THE OFFICE AT PRESENT.

MRS. ODER KENNEDY AND MISS MINNIE HESTER WENT TO PARAGOULD SHOPPING ONE DAY LAST WEEK.

ED NEWSOM AND FRED HIGGINS PASSED THROUGH THESE PARTS LAST WEEK , RETURNING FROM A HUNT FOR STRAY HORSES.

MR. SOUTHERLANDS AND WIFE ENTERTAINED QUITE A CROWD OF PEOPLE AT THE WALNUT GROVE SCHOOL HOUSE LAST WEEK.

BABE VINES IS MOVING WITH HIS FAMILY TO THE SWAMPS.

THERE WAS PREACHING BY REV. J.W. WATSON AT THE WARREN'S CHAPPEL CHURCH LAST SUNDAY AND THE LORD'S SUPPER WAS SERVED.

RICE

A LARGE CROWD ATTENDED THE DECORATION DAY EXERCISES AT OWEN'S CHAPEL SUNDAY , AND THERE WERE A NUMBER OF GOOD TALKS DELIVERED.

MR. GRAY IS QUITE SICK, CAUSED FROM HAVING A TOOTH EXTRACTED.

THERE IS A GOOD STAND OF COTTON THIS YEAR.

CORN PLANTING IS ALL DONE.
