A Saloon-Keeper Kills Three Policeman    

Cairo, Ill. Dec. 21 -- Passengers on the Cotton Belt road report a horrible tragedy at Paragould station, Ark., Tuesday night. Officer Bryan, of Paragould, was detailed to serve a warrant on John Williams, who was charged with selling liquor contrary to the county law. Williams was discovered by the officer disguised as a negro. William resisted arrest, and during a running fire succeeded in mortally wounding Officer Bryan and his two assistants. Williams was also wounded and will probably die.  

DECEMBER 21, 1888
