THE TELEPHONE FEVER IS RAGING IN THE TOWN AT PRESENT

TO A HIGH DEGREE . J.M. RASBERRY WAS THE FIRST TO COME TO

THE FRONT WITH WIRE AND EMPTY TOMATO CAN , AND RIGGED UP PHONE CONNECTION BETWEEN

HIS PLACE OF BUSINESS AND RESIDENCE.

NOW R.B. JONES , ARTER HOLT , A.M. HALL AND

SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE FOLLOWED SUIT AND THE GREAT MODERN

CONVENIENCE IS BEING MANGURATED ALL OVER THE TOWN .

SOME HOW , MARMADUKE JUST WON'T STAY BEHIND.
