Dexter Crumpton "Hypnotist "
Dexter Crumpton was seen in his second public appearance at the Whitsitt' opera house Feb 4, 1909 with a large attendance . He opened his performance by waking a "Cap " Hardy from a hypnotic slumber of 24 hours . Hardy was seen in his hypnotic state at the show window of the Pruet street store formerly occupied by George Cox Economy Store.
Dexter performance included subjects from the audience placing them under his complete control . Putting them through all kinds of funny stunts that delighted the audience . Offered tests that proved to the most skeptical that he was a thorough master of the mysterious art.
His performance was so well enjoyed that he will perform a third exhibition Feb 6, 1909. Dexter intends to continue the study the art of hypnotism until he is recognized as one of the greatest masters , the funds earned from his appearances will be devoted to his study of hypnotism.
