Walter and Clara Ainsworth Cline 

Walter Cline, was b: May 21 1889,the son of Frank Cline of Tonto basin, Ariz. grandson of Christian Cline.

The Frank Cline Ranch was on Tonto Creek not far above the site of the present Roosevelt Dam. It was there in this vast area of cow country that Walter Cline grew up.

Walter was a person who never had to leave Arizona to find what he enjoyed most — work with cattle and good horses.

His chief sources of amusement were cowboy sports and horse races, both entirely in the non-professional class.

Although there is no doubt but whet he would have been highly successful had there been a professional rodeo circuit in his day, his interest in these sports as stated above, was entirely at the local level, centering chiefly around such events in Yavapai, Maricopa and Gila counties.

Only one child  was born to Walter and Clara. This was Claude Walter Cline, born in Prescott September 8,1908. Claude is the only one bearing the Cline name in his generation. He has two son's, Berry and Steve, and a daughter, Carole.

Walter spent the last few years of his life in Prescott, Az. Date of death was March 5, 1996

Walter spent the last few years of his life in Prescott, AZ. He is buried in Prescott, AZ, at Mountain View Cemetery
