This is another view of the grave of Charles P. Morrison, looking easterly from the head of the grave.  The large stone in the center is the tombstone bearing Morrison's name.
Ms. Ferguson noted the stone was inscribed with the following:

In Memory of
Charles P. Morrison
died Dec. 12, 1850
Nav. Ohio

Charles P. Morrison was enumerated on the U.S. Census of 1850 as being a 20 year old native of Ohio.  He was enumerated as living at Dry Creek, El Dorado County.  At the time of his death, an epidemic of Cholera which had begun in Sacramento City in mid-October 1850, was finally winding down.  Morrison's actual cause of death is not known.
