FAIR PLAY
CEMETERY
El Dorado County, California
Plot Map: Section C
Section
C is located at the southwestern corner of the cemetery. There are
many problem areas in this section. There are at least 3 unmarked
graves that are located outside the existing fence line (#91, #92, and #93).
Five graves (#90, #89, #88, #86, and #83) extend from within the cemetery under
the fence line to varying degrees.
Grave #87 is likely a
very early graves judging from it's strong east facing alignment, and has been
impacted by Grave #75, a modern era burial. Graves #65 and #84, are
unmarked graves partially within a space that has been "claimed" for
future use by residents of the Fair Play area.
Grave #6 is an unmarked
grave now partially within yet another plot space "claimed" for future
use by area residents.
Grave #42, an unmarked
and formerly unknown grave, lies partially within a plot of more recent vintage
it most likely does not belong in. Grave #58, an unmarked grave, was
impacted in 1942 by a later burial.
Grave #10 (unmarked) was
impacted in 1999 by Grave #9, and also by Grave #94. Graves #30 and #31
are obviously impacted by one another. Grave #31 was created in
1919. The date of Grave #31 is unknown, as it it's occupant.
