(aka Garden Valley and Alabama Flat Cemetery)
The following photos were taken sometime in the early 1980s. They show the grave of John Cody who was co-owner of a saw mill on Johntown Creek with Thomas McConnell. At the time these photos were taken, an oak tree growing within the iron crib railing was beginning to grow over the rail.
Sometime in the 1990s, the property owner removed the tombstone and the iron railing, and threw them in a stand of blackberry bushes on the north side of the cemetery hill. The iron fencing has been located and it is the intent of the present property owner to reinstall the ornamental iron fencing around John Cody's grave.
