SKINNER RANCH CEMETERY

From 1898, when the cemetery was first
"saved and excepted" from the transfer of the remainder of the Skinner
ranch property, an easement was also included to provide access to and from the
cemetery. That easement condition was dropped from more recent deeds on
the property. The land developers chose to reassign a new easement to the
cemetery that skirts the top edge of the cut bank on the east side of the
cemetery.
This photo shows the dumped fill dirt, but also shows the alignment of the original easement road (along the right margin of the photo) that was reserved in the Skinner family's 1898 deed to the property. The road was removed when the shopping center was constructed.
