Welcome to the American Local History Network,  a central point of entry to independent web sites with historical or genealogical content.

If you have a special interest in a Connecticut county or subject and would like to  create an American Local History Network site for it, we welcome your participation!   If you have an existing Connecticut page featuring  a County, Town, Event, Family Association,  History,  Ethnic Group or any other  historic content  we'd love to add your link!   Please contact Lesley Moss,  the new coordinator of the Connecticut ALHN site, or the County Coordinator for that county. The American Local History Network, Inc.

A central point of entry to independent web sites with historical or  genealogical content

Mission Statement

We would like to welcome you to the American Local History  Network, Inc.

Our dream is to furnish you, the researcher, with the historical and  genealogical information to round out your research on your ancestors. ALHN will be adding links and data in a continuous fashion. All  contributions are gratefully accepted and the copyright for that  information will continue to reside with the contributor.  There are no "strings" attached to any contribution, you may take it back at anytime although it is our hope that you will not do so.

ALHN is not doing this to compete nor replace any other historical or     genealogical organization, rather this is in addition to those worthwhile organizations.

The Connecticut American Local History Network is a not-for profit genealogical/historical research project hosted by USGenNet (http://www.usgennet.org/), a nonprofit, tax-exempt public benefit corporation.  This project makes no claim to the copyrights of individual submitters, and is in full compliance with USGenNet's Conditions of Use (http://www.usgennet.org/~usgnhome/cou.html)
