Welcome
to Appling County!

This County is up for Adoption
For information, please contact Ed Gordon

Appling County was created in 1818 from Creek lands ceded in the treaty of Fort Jackson and the Treaty of the Creek Agency. Appling was named for Col. Daniel Appling, Georgia's most noted hero of the War of 1812. If you're looking for a town now located in Bacon, Charlton, Clinch, Echols, Jeff Davis, Pierce, Ware, and Wayne Counties, you may find the information you need here, as Appling once included all or part of each of those Counties.

My name is Dee Pavey and I am your County Coordinator for Appling County. If you have any information you would like to share with us please send it to me at pcmom@aol.com. We would love to have whatever data you have for Appling County. All of us Appling County researchers will thank you! :-)
