Bradham, Alva Deke, Millen, Ga, age 64, died 6-30-1988, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Augusta will be held at Paynes Chapel Methodist Church. Interment in the churchyard cemetery. A life long resident of Jenkins County, was a farmer and a US Navy veteran of WW II. A member of Paynes Methodist Church. Wife, Myrtice Larrimore Bradham, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sue) Edenfield, Waynesboro, Ga., a son, Charles Bradham, Millen, and two sisters, Mrs. Dudley Gunn, Wadley and MRs. B. J. Drew, Midville and two brothers, James Bradham, New Ellenton, SC and Herbert Bradham, Waynesboro. Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Bonnie H. Brookins, died at his residence.  Deloach Funeral Home in charge, interment in Burke Memorial Gardens.  A native of Burke County, was a retired grocery merchant and a member of Habersham Methodist Church.  Survivors: his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Dean Joyner Brookins; son, Raymond Brookins, Waynesboro; daughters, Mrs. William H. Friese, Hiltonia, Ga., Mrs. Jewel Lee, Sylvania, Ga., and MRs. Edward J. Taylor, Waynesboro; brother, Parker Brookins, Sardis, Ga.; sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Flakes, Alexander, Ga., and Gaynell B. Hillis, Waynesboro, Ga.

Brookins, Nellie Sapp, age 70 of Alexander, Ga. and wife of William M. Brookins, died at her residence Monday near Alexander after a long illness. Daughter of the late Bat and Laura Perkins Sapp. Funeral services at Habersham Methodist Church of which she was a member. Interment in the church cemetery. Survivors beside her husband include two daughters, Mrs. Louie Flakes and Mrs. Wilbur Hillis both of Alexander; sons, Parker Brookins, Sardis and Barney Brookins of Alexander; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Lyman Lee, Harold Read, Wilber Read, Gene Sapp, Edd Taylor, William Freise, Melvin Sapp, Nig Jenkins, and B. M. NcClain. Hopper Deloach Funeral Home, Waynesboro in charge.

Delaigle, Nancy Quick, age 75 of 523 Victory Dr., died 12-24-1988. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Native of Burke County, Ga. Employee of Goldburgs Store for 36 yrs. Member of First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro. Husband, Mr. Louie Delaigle; daughters, Charlene Blount, Pensacola, Florida and Micky Parker, Pace, Florida; son, Clayton Delaigle, Waynesboro; sisters, Janie Stapleton, Statesboro, Ga., Martha Long, Josie Simpson and Jenny Delaigle all of Waynesboro; brother, Elmo Quick, Waynesboro, Ga.

Glover, Robert Edward, Sr. - age 63, died 7-22-1976 in a Burke County hospital.  Interment in Burke Memorial Gardens. A native of Burke County, was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Coleman Bible Class.  Survivors: his wife, Jean Burch Glover, sons, Robert E. Glover, Jr., Columbia, Gary A. Glover and Jerry M. Glover, Augusta and Eugene B. Glover, Waynesboro; daughters, Mrs. Virginia G. Jenkins and Miss Marjorie Eve Glover, Waynesboro; sister, Mrs. Laurie Daniel, Waynesboro; brothers, William Glover, Orangeburg, SC and Carlton Glover, Augusta. Deloach Funeral Home in charge. Note: Robert was born on 9-2-1912.  He is the son of William M. Glover of Beech Island, SC.

Kendrick, Leila Padgett, age 78, of Keysville, Ga., passed away on March 26 in Pilcher hospital in Louisville, Ga. Wife of the late John (Pat) Payson Kendrick.  Funeral services held at the Keysville Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church yard.  S. A. Blanchard Funeral Home, Wrens, Ga.

Lamb, Effie E. Lynch, Girard, Ga, 63, died 1-20-1954 in the Burke County hospital today after a brief illness.  Funeral services at Corinth Christian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Sanders, Waynesboro; son, H. Fletcher Smith of Summertown, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Annie Mae Carpenter, Richmond Hill, Ga.; brother, Luther Lynch of Waynesboro. A native of Orangeburg, SC., the daughter of the late J. M. Lynch and Harriet Drawdy Lynch.  She had resided in Girard for the past 25 years and was a member of the Baptist church. 

Larrimore, Lemuel C. (Jack), 75, of Millen,  Ga., died 3-25-1966, at a Savannah, Ga., hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services held at Elam Baptist Church.  Interment in the church cemetery. A lifelong resident of Jenkins County, he was a son of the late Jim and Myra Aycock Larrimore, was a retired farmer, a justice of the peace for 25 yrs. and a member of the Elam Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Hendley Larrimore; daughters, Mrs. Wayland Johnson, Garfield, Ga., and Mrs. Alva Bradham, Millen; sons, Billy Larrimore, Florence, SC and Edward Larrimore, Savannah; sisters, Mrs. Agnes Kelly and Mrs. Fannie Turberville, both of Statesboro, Ga.; brothers, Lester Larrimore, Jacksonville, Ga., and Ben Larrimore, Hagen, Ga. Fletcher Funeral Home, Millen, Ga in charge.

Hillis, William (Bill) W., III,  of Millen, Ga., age 55, died March 10, 2011 at Central Georgia Medical Center in Macon. He was born in Jenkins County, a multicounty director for the Department of Family and Children's Services, and a member of the Elam Baptist Church. Funeral services at the Elam Baptist Church with Dr. Maurice Crowder and Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lynne Cowart Hillis; a daughter, Brooke Hillis; and a son Blake Hillis all of Millen; his mother, Agnes C. Hillis of Millen; a sister, June (Henry) Burruss of Savannah; a brother, Arnold (Tina Marie) Hillis of Millen; a sister-in-law, Elane (Terry) Hickman of Millen; and his mother-in-law, Ann B. Cowart. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the home of Ann Cowart, 519 Woodland Way, Millen. Memorials may be made to the Trauma Center of your choice. Powell, Sallie Daniel, Keysville, Ga., died at Keysville Convalescent Home after an extended illness.  Daugther of the late Jim Daniel and Martha Daniel both Jefferson County natives.  She was a member of Keysville Baptist Church.  Survivors include four step-daughters, Mrs. Pat Quick, Waynesboro, Ga., Mrs. Jessie Brookins, Augusta, Mrs. Ira Bradham of Summerville, SC., and Mrs. Lester Sapp of Midville, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Zellie Usry of Avera; one niece, Mrs. Harvey Hadden of Louisville, and a number of nephews.  Funeral services at the graveside of Pleasant Grove Baptist church cemetery in Avera at 2:30 Sunday.  Hopper-Deloach Funeral Home. 

Quick, Ernest Virgle, age 69, died in Burke County, Georgia, 10-9-1980. He was a native of Jenkins County. Retired City of Waynesboro employee. Member of the First Baptist Church, Waynesboro. Also member of the Masonic Lodge No. 274. Survivors: Wife, Thelma E. Quick; son, Ernest V. Quick, Jr.; daughters, Dorothy Q. Bartlett, Waynesboro; sisters, Josie Q. Simpson, Jennie Q. Delaigle, Martha Q. Long all of Waynesboro and Janie Q. Stapleton of Statesboro, Ga.; brothers, Robert C. Quick, Bay City, Texas and Elmo Quick of Milledgeville. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.

Quick, Joseph F., Waynesboro, Ga, age 4 , died this afternoon at University hospital from burns received when his clothing caught fire from an open fireplace.  Funeral services and interment in Bethany Methodist Church/cemetery. Sisters, Dorothy Mae, Mildred, Annie, Grace, Ray; brothers, Russell and Lovett Quick all from Waynesboro, Ga. 

Sapp, Daley C., age 47, of Millen, Georgia, died 8-18-1945 near Sardis. He was the husband of Mrs. Phronie Shivers Sapp.  Funeral services held at Alexander Baptist Church.  Interment in the church cemetery.  He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. William M. Brookins of Burke County.  Note: This Mrs. William M. Brookins, is Mrs. William D. (Judge) Brookins ( Nellie Sapp). 

Youngblood, W. J., died Thursday after an illness of little over a year, at the age of 73.  Employed with Central Rail Way.  Resided in Waynesboro.  Survivors: children, Mrs. V. S. Smith of Macon, Mrs. W. J. Atkinson and Mr. John Youngblood of Miami, Florida, Mr. Marian Youngblood of Vienna, and Mrs. Oscar L. Sapp of Waynesboro; brother, Thomas Youngblood of Dallas, Texas.  The Augusta Chronicle, June 11, 1927.
