Highway 102, turn right on Magnolia Church Road then bear right at the fork on Avant Chalker. Glascock County, Ga in Gibson
Returning to Chalker Cemetery to complete the grave photos. Some did not turn out so well. Will need to chalk the graves or clean them to be able to read them. Will return later in the future and post. If anyone has further information on the people buried here please email me.

Daniel Glover born Nov, 15, 1824 died Jan 21, 189?
I researched the Augusta Archives and found a little information on the Glover Family. Daniel Glover was the husband of Amanda Reynolds Glover. Eliza Glover Peebles was there daughter, who married Isaac S. Peebles, Sr. She was the mother of Isaac S. Peebles, Jr. In her obituary it mentions sons, Col. Peebles, W. C. Peebles, Leon L. Peebles, Gibson, Ga and Fred J. Peebles of Memphis, Tenn. Daughters, Mrs. A. B. Sams, Chattanooga, Tenn. and Mrs. Agnes P. Dillard of Greenville, SC. Eliza was born 8-15-1936 and died on 8-16-1936 at the age of 81. Her husband, was an Augusta Richmond County Attorney and former member of the State Legislature. At her death she was living in Gibson, Ga and is buried in the Gibson Cemetery.

Ida Reese Chalker, brother was Sterling Reese of Glascock County, Ga, died 1-7-1943 at the age of 45. He is buried in the Bethel Methodist church yard cemetery. Sterling was a native of Glascock county and was the husband of Marie Chalker Reese. Their children: Reba, Sarah, Ellis, Zola and Geraldine Reese, all from Gibson, Ga. Sisters mentioned in his obit: Mrs. Billie Hayes, Augusta, Ga, Mrs. Ida Chalker, Gibson, Ga and Mrs. Mollie Thompson, Soperton, Ga.; brothers, Tom Reese, Warrenton, Ga, Josh and Mearl Reese both of Gibson, Ga.
Mearl Carter Reese, Ida Reese Chalker's brother died 8-8-1952 at the age of 52 and is buried in the Bethel Baptist church yard cemetery. Native of Gibson, Ga and was a farmer. He was the husband of Lillian Chalker Reese; daughter, Mrs. D. A. Smith, Louisville, Ga.; sons, John H. Reese, Gibson, Ga, James Reese, Grovetown, Ga and Bobby Reese of Gibson, Ga.; sisters, Mrs. Dillie Hayes, Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Ida Chalker, Gibson, Ga and Mollie Thomson of Savannah, Ga.; brother, Tom Reese, Gibson, Ga.
