
Dismukes Genealogy Notes

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Dahlonega United Methodist Church for Dr. Camillus J. Dismukes, age 61, with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Dr. Dismukes died at Hall County Hospital Monday after a long illness. He was a retired professor of foreign languages at North Georgia College. A native of Randolph, Alabama. He had lived in Dahlonega for 37 years. A member of Dahlonega United Methodist Church. Survivors: his wife, Mrs. Marian Dismukes; one daughter, Mrs. Anne Amerson, Honolulu, Hawaii; one son, Key Dismukes, Boalsburg, Penn.; one sister, Mrs. W. S. Gaskin, Blounston, Florida; six grandchildren. Vickers of Dahlonega was in charge of arrangements. Ref: The Dahlonega Nuggett, 2/5/1971
