Dickson Family

Jefferson County, Georgia

Thomas Jefferson Dickson and Elizabeth Amizon Stapleton married on December 10, 1865.  They resided at 136 S. Easy Street, in Stapleton, Georgia.  The house is still standing and is known as the oldest home in Stapleton.  They were the parents of ten (10) children.

Ruth and Carrie Dickson in the photo above are daughters of Thomas Jefferson Dickson and Elizabeth Amizon Stapleton Dickson.  

Carrie Margaret Dickson married Fair Durden, born 6-1-1877 and died 5-9-1936.  Ruth married Thomas Boyd and they resided in Amity, Georgia.

Obit of Carrie Margaret Dickson Durden born 6-17-1882 and died 1-3-1978.

Obit of Clara J. Dickson. She died 11-1-1923.  Carrie was the step mother of Ruth and Carrie Dickson.  She was also a wife of Thomas Jefferson Dickson.
